For absolutely no reason, this BSOD occurs after a scheduled CHKDSK on random machines in the past few years. I have not been able to trace it to any particular software or hardware setup or service packs. There are no dump files because it doesn’t even get close to booting into Windows.
I have also seen variations of this error such as “SESSION3”. Microsoft knowledge base calls it a bug and the resolution is to reformat / reinstall windows. I cannot find a final fix on any forums either.
The only method that has worked is by using the “LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION” in the boot menu.
If you have found a way to FIX this bug, let me know!
